Things like this come out because of people who go crazy with the stuff. Here's an idea, if you wash yours and your daughter hands before you leave day care then you won't need to use it there. Washing your hands properly is just as effective if not safer since you won't kill good bacteria. Save the hand sanitizer for moments when you can't get to a sink. As for shopping carts take a baby wip and wipe them down if yo are that worried.
