Are you truly wise and sensitive?

I’ve been trying to get an answer for what must be a basic question – deleting addresses from the drop-down address bar. I’m surprised and disappointed to still be in the dark. If on one hand I’m almost illiterate about computers, on the other hand I have a brain that can follow accurate instructions. My doubt refers to “erasing” one or more specific address(es); not the entire history. By “erase” what I mean is the more garden-variety sort of deletion, not the top-security-government one. I’ve noticed that sometimes a malicious tone is resorted to when people comment on the topic, which I think is silly. What’s the big deal? Yes, I am human, and yes, there are sites I’d rather not disclose. And I bet the same applies to you and you and you and you. And I think we all have a right to privacy, don’t we? Mind you, I’m saying all of this not in anger or indignation. This is an earnest appeal for your wisdom and sensitivity. I’d be most grateful for some light on the issue.
