Pregnant and weary about using an electric blanket?

Ok so I'm 29 weeks pregnant and I already have asked my mid-wife if it is ok for a lady that is pregnant to use an electric blanket, but I still feel weary about using one, kinda just being pregnant being under a force field. Maybe it's the mother hen kicking in since my mid-wife said it was ok. Do you think that is weird lol? Or did any other lady's use an electric blanket well pregnant?
