Nasty with the guilt?

How many of you have parents that use the 'guilt' trip when you've displeased them? I recently had an arguement with my step mom where she misunderstood what I said and though I've tried to correct it and fix it, no dice, so now it's my 35th birthday and no card, no call. Luckily I am blessed with a fab hubby and 3 good kids, but it never fails how little your parents can make you feel no matter how old you get.
